Advancement of Research Activities
One of our key priorities is to strengthen collaboration between law firms, public authorities, and the business sector with the Faculty’s academic and analytical centers.
The Faculty’s research centers offer broad expertise spanning both public and private law, allowing for interdisciplinary legal research and applied analysis. All interested partners are welcome to collaborate with our centers for expert opinions, policy research, and the organization of public events.
Currently, the following research and academic units operate within the Faculty:
• Center for the Rule of Law Studies https://law.ukma.edu.ua/en/centers/rolcentre/
• Center for Genocide and Human Rights Studies https://law.ukma.edu.ua/en/centers/genocide-and-human-rights-research-center/
• Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies https://law.ukma.edu.ua/en/centers/tsentr-imeni-zhana-mone-z-yevropejskyh-studij/
• Institute of German Law https://law.ukma.edu.ua/en/centers/instytut-nimetskogo-prava/
• Center for Innovative Legal Education Methods https://law.ukma.edu.ua/en/centers/tsentr-innovatsijnyh-metodyk-pravnychoyi-osvity/
A modern and high-quality legal education is impossible without access to the global achievements of legal scholarship. Therefore, the Faculty continuously seeks donor support to maintain subscriptions to leading research databases and online libraries.
Thanks to the generous contribution of Martin Ewan, our students already have access to Oxford Academic — the research platform of Oxford University Press, featuring over 40,000 books and 500 journals, including those in the field of law.
In addition, our students now benefit from Kluwer Law Online, which offers a collection of 26 journals, 9 manuals, and 25 volumes of the International Encyclopaedia of Laws.
Our goal is to raise ₴800,000 to secure annual subscriptions to additional online legal databases and libraries essential for both education and research.
