Center for Genocide and Human Rights Studies

The Center was established in 2010. The Center's purpose is to conduct research and educational activities in the field of international human rights protection and to participate in information and analytical support of lawmaking and law enforcement in Ukraine.
The Center is headed by M. Antonovych.

The Center promotes the implementation of the principles of the new higher education at the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” – the combination of education and research at all stages of study.
Main activities:
1. Organization of educational activities and research on specific problems in the field of international human rights protection;
2. Certificate program “International Human Rights Protection”;
3. Establishment of cooperation with the Council of Ukrainian Human Rights Organizations, the UN Office in Ukraine, the UN Human Rights Council and the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights;
4. Program for the study of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine;
5. Program on Gender and Children’s Rights;
6. Program on International Protection of National Minorities;
8. Establishment of contacts with foreign and international organizations, unions, associations for the international protection of human rights, with similar institutions.
