History of Law and State of Ukraine

The course on the history of state and law of Ukraine precedes the study of sectoral legal and related disciplines in the system of legal education. It lays the foundations of a humanitarian higher education, preparing students for the analysis of specific legal and state practice. A clear understanding of the patterns of development of national law and statehood from antiquity to the present will contribute to fostering a sense of respect for the nation’s achievements, forming a sense of high responsibility for the prospects and state of legal development of Ukraine, and to the acquisition and analysis by each student of his or her own legal experience, which positively affects the entire modern process of legal education of young people, as well as the awareness on the social significance of law in modern state-building.
