Law in Germany
Studies begin on June 30 (online).
The Summer School “Law in Germany”, which has been held annually in Ukraine since 2007, is aimed at university lecturers, PhD candidates and students in the advanced semesters of law studies who are interested in the legal system of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In 2025, the Summer School is held online from June 30 to July 18.
The working language of the school is German, so participants are expected to have at least a Mittelstufe (intermediate) level of German proficiency.
During the first week, participants will be offered a course to improve their legal German. The following two weeks will be dedicated to s tudying German law. The classes will be taught by professors, lecturers and legal practitioners from Germany.
Participation in the Summer School is free of charge.
The number of places is limited.
A certificate will be issued upon completion of the Summer School, subject to successful completion of the final examination.
To participate in the competitive selection process for the Summer School, applicants must submit the following documents:
- CV (in Ukrainian or English);
- Application form (in German).
The application with the attached CV should be sent via the registration form.
After confirmation, participants will receive access to the online sessions.
The Summer School has been organized by the Faculty of Law of NaUKMA in cooperation with Heidelberg University, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and Jagiellonian University, with the support and funding of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
