Jurisprudence in Anglo-Saxon Law (in English)

Jurisprudence in Common Law elective course provides students with basic philosophical insight into the common law foundational grounds, as well as legal philosophical concepts further developed by leading common law world legal scholars and practitioners, and applied up to this day. In addition the second aim of this course is to enrich students’ existing knowledge in legal English terminology, and to enrich their knowledge in common law terminology specifically. The course is taught using Socratic method.  It does not apply the traditional lecture/seminar division.  All the classes are taught in the form of a conversation regarding readings assigned.  The third aim of the course is to stimulate students’ critical thinking and further develop their analytical skills.
