Application of Criminalistics Techniques in Criminal Proceedings

Criminalistics as a science studies the patterns of criminal offenses and the emergence of traces, their extraction, examination and use during pre-trial investigation and court proceedings. The forensic techniques, tools and recommendations developed by criminalistics are aimed at optimizing the investigation of criminal offenses and are designed to ensure the quality of investigative (search) and other procedural actions. In the course of studying the course, students should: – know the system, basic concepts and categories, branches of criminalistics techniques and their importance for the investigation of criminal offenses; – be able to use technical forensic means to detect, record and extract traces, other material evidence, record the course and results of procedural actions.
