Expertises in Legal Practice
The course is a professionally oriented elective course aimed at an in-depth study of issues that were not sufficiently considered during the study of normative courses in the 2nd-4th years of the bachelor’s degree program. Master’s students on the eve of independent legal activity will be offered to explore the relevant aspects of the appointment of examinations in administrative, civil, commercial and criminal proceedings.
The course covers the concepts of forensic examination, the rights and obligations of an expert and a specialist, the concept of an expert opinion as a source of evidence and its significance in court proceedings, the special procedure for conducting forensic examinations by order of an authorized body or person of another state, the involvement of specialists from other states for joint forensic examinations, etc. Particular focus is on determining the procedure for conducting this procedural action and drafting the necessary procedural documents by master students with their subsequent discussion in order to eliminate mistakes.
The course lays the foundation for the future practical activities of a legal professional: lawyer, prosecutor, investigator, judge; it promotes the acquisition of skills of interaction during the appointment of examinations in the conditions of adversarial proceedings, rational collection, presentation, examination and use of evidence to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of persons in administrative, civil, commercial and criminal proceedings.
