Case Law of the European Court of Human Rights

The course includes an in-depth study of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (1950) in the context of its application by the European Court of Human Rights. The aim is to teach students how to use the ECHR precedents in lawmaking and law enforcement, to prepare students for their possible work in the judiciary and law enforcement agencies, as well as for research and academic work. This course is basic for understanding the processes of European case law on human rights formation and development; students acquire a system of modern knowledge and practical skills in understanding and application of the ECHR case law.
