Yevhen Krapyvin

In 2026 obtained a PhD on Law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Dissertation topic: “The Fundamentals of Legal Positivism in Contemporary Doctrines of the United Kingdom and the United States”.
He has held various positions at non-governmental organizations focused on reforming the criminal justice system, as well as serving as an assistant and advisor to members of the Ukrainian Parliament. He has over 10 years of experience in analytical work, conducting research, drafting legislation, and preparing documents in the field of public policy. In particular, he is a co-author of the Overarching Strategic Plan for Reforming Law Enforcement Agencies for 2023–2027 (2023) and its Action Plan (2024), the Strategy for Combating Torture in the Criminal Justice System and the Approval of the Action Plan for Its Implementation (2021), and other documents.
Since 2018, he has served as a national consultant for the Council of Europe in Ukraine, and since 2024, as a national expert for the EU project “Pravo-Justice” in Ukraine, where he focuses on reforming the prosecution reform and law enforcement agencies reform.
Since 2025, he has headed the “Law and Order” Area at the Agency for Legislative Initiatives (ALI) – one of the oldest think tanks in Ukraine.
