NaUKMA Campus at the European University Viadrina: Applications Open for the Pilot 2026 Cohort
A Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Law for Ukrainian Students Temporarily Residing in Europe: In-Person Studies in Frankfurt (Oder) within NaUKMA’s Academic Programme
The National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA), in partnership with the European University Viadrina (Frankfurt (Oder), Germany), announces the launch of the NaUKMA Campus at Viadrina in September 2026. This pilot educational initiative will enable Ukrainian students enrolled in NaUKMA’s Bachelor’s Programme in Law who are temporarily residing in European Union countries for safety reasons to continue their studies in person while remaining part of a Ukrainian university. At the same time, students will benefit from the academic environment and infrastructure of the German partner institution.
The initiative was developed in response to the educational challenges caused by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which forced many Ukrainian students to relocate abroad temporarily. The Campus is designed to help students maintain their connection with NaUKMA as a Ukrainian academic community while also integrating into the European higher education area without transferring to a foreign degree programme.
How the Programme Will Be Organised
- Students will be enrolled in NaUKMA’s four-year Bachelor’s Programme in Law while simultaneously holding the status of incoming mobility students at the European University Viadrina.
- In-person classes following the NaUKMA curriculum will be conducted on the Viadrina campus during intensive academic sessions taught by NaUKMA faculty members.
- Students will have the opportunity to take selected courses at Viadrina, which may be recognised as compulsory or elective components of the NaUKMA degree programme through the established credit recognition procedure.
- Throughout their studies, students will have access to Viadrina’s libraries, study spaces, student residences, sports facilities, and other university infrastructure.
