International Trade Law (in English)

The basic objective of this course is to give students a comprehensive overview of the law of the World Trade Organization (WTO) as well as its application. The course will provide students with in-depth understanding of evolution and current developments of international trade law, the basic framework of the GATT/WTO, dispute settlement mechanism of the WTO, rules on market access, non-discrimination principles, trade remedies, and some selected areas of WTO regulations such as services and intellectual property rights. Special attention will be given to the problems of relationship between international trade rules and human rights, protection of environment.
