Kyiv-Mohyla Faculty of Law at Università Pegaso, Rome
Right now in Rome: the Faculty of Law at NaUKMA at a roundtable hosted by Università Telematica Pegaso
At this very moment, a delegation of the Faculty of Law of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy is in Rome, taking part in the international workshop “Human Rights in the Era of Global Digitalization” at Università Pegaso.
The event brings together scholars and lecturers from Ukraine and Italy to discuss how digitalization and artificial intelligence are reshaping approaches to human rights protection, justice, and education.
Key topics of the panel discussions include:
– the impact of digital technologies and AI on human rights — including the right to privacy, the right to be forgotten, and children’s rights;
– legal regulation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the European Union;
– the use of digital tools to spread disinformation and fake content, in particular by Russia during its war against Ukraine;
– challenges of applying AI in education and legal practice;
– the limits of judicial automation — whether AI can deal with “hard cases” and whether it can replace a judge (in light of Ronald Dworkin’s approach).
One of the key panels is moderated by Volodymyr Venher, Dean of the Faculty of Law at NaUKMA.
The Faculty of Law at NaUKMA sincerely thanks Università Pegaso for the partnership, openness to cooperation, and support in developing joint academic and educational initiatives.
