Andriy M. Boyko graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko State University of Lviv (now Ivan Franko National University of Lviv) in 1989. Since 1994 he has worked as an Assistant, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, and from 2003 to 2015, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. From June 2015 to April 2019 – a member of the Supreme Council of Justice. Since September 2019 until today, he is a Professor of the Department of Criminal and Criminal Procedural Law of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
A. Boyko is the author of more than a hundred scientific and scientific-methodological works. He is a member of scientific editorial boards of publications: Studia Prawnicze. Rozprawy i Materiały (published by Andrzeja Frycza Modrzewskiego Academy in Kraków); Studia Prawnicze KUL (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II).
In 2016 A. Boyko was awarded the Gold Medal of the University of Wroclaw (Republic of Poland).
Member of the Scientific Advisory Council at the Supreme Court.
OSCE expert, expert of the USAID Program “Justice for All”, expert of the EU “Право–Justice” Project.
Area of professional interests: criminal responsibility for committing corruption offenses and offenses related to corruption, prevention of economic crime and corruption, judicial independence, disciplinary responsibility of judges.
Courses taught: Criminology; Professional Responsibility of a Lawyer; Disciplinary Responsibility of Judges.
