NaUKMA Law Students Will Represent Ukraine at Jessup in the USA!

The National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy has won the 2025 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition national rounds!

From January 31 to February 2, the national rounds in public international law took place, with our Faculty of Law team competing: Vladyslav Mykhalchenko, Bohdana Yaruta, Vladyslav Levchuk, and Anastasiia Shashkevych, under the guidance of their coaches Masha Stolbovа, Maksym Dvorovyi, and Ketevan Bezhanishvili.

For three days, teams from six Ukrainian universities competed for the right to represent Ukraine in the international rounds in Washington, D.C., USA.

Following an intense competition, the NaUKMA team claimed every possible award:
– National Champion title
– Best Written Memorial

Additionally, all team members were recognized among the best oralists of the rounds:
— Vladyslav Levchuk (Top-1)
— Anastasiia Shashkevych (Top-2)
— Bohdana Yaruta (Top-3)
— Vladyslav Mykhalchenko (Top-5)

The Jessup Moot Court Competition is the largest and most prestigious public international law competition in the world! This year, over 800 teams from 100+ countries competed for the chance to advance to the international rounds in Washington, D.C.

The last time the NaUKMA team won the national rounds of Jessup was in 2020.
