Professional Mentorship Program

The Professional Mentorship Program of the Faculty of Law at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy is a unique initiative centered on the principle of growth through guided development.
A mentor is an experienced legal professional or institution whose values align with those of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
A mentee is a motivated law student of any year of study who seeks to enhance their professional and personal growth.
The Faculty’s role is to effectively match mentors—practicing lawyers with substantial professional and personal experience—with mentees who demonstrate motivation and readiness to learn, ensuring that both parties gain the maximum benefit from their collaboration.
What does the Professional Mentorship Program include?
Selection:
• Motivated mentees—students eager to develop practical legal skills and gain professional insight.
• Practicing mentors—legal professionals willing to share the knowledge, experience, and values essential for a successful career in law.
Collaboration*
• A clear, balanced, and individualized program built around the interests and expectations of the Mentor, Mentee, and the Faculty.
• Regular meetings between mentors and mentees, including opportunities for mentees to engage in real-life legal practice alongside their mentors.
* Participation in the Program may be counted as a required internship component within the student’s academic curriculum.
