A Legal Perspective on the Consequences of Withdrawing Support for Ukraine

Maksym Vishchyk, the lecturer at the Faculty of Law and legal advisor at Global Rights Compliance, together with his colleague Jeremy Pizzi, has prepared an important article for The Scotsman on the international legal consequences of reducing support for Ukraine.

The article highlights a fundamental principle of international law — the prohibition of the use of force to seize territories. The authors emphasize that concessions to an aggressor under pressure would be illegitimate, and the international community’s inaction could create a dangerous precedent for the future world order.
