International Healthcare Law

The course includes a critical review of international legal regulation in the field of healthcare in the context of the development of law, science and technology, as well as a review of the adequacy of such regulation for the protection and promotion of public health and prospects for future development. In particular, the issues of the scope and objectives of international health regulation, the major international players in the field of health care governance and their role in the development of international legal regulation in the field of health care, the role of WHO as one of the main actors in health care governance, etc. will be considered. This course will explore the issues of international interaction between health care and human rights, intellectual property, international trade, international security, environmental protection, etc.
