{"id":9516,"date":"2025-02-21T17:18:24","date_gmt":"2025-02-21T13:18:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/?p=9516"},"modified":"2025-02-22T17:28:55","modified_gmt":"2025-02-22T13:28:55","slug":"faculty-member-at-a-council-of-europe-expert-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/en\/faculty-member-at-a-council-of-europe-expert-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Towards European Standards: Key Findings on Prosecutorial Practices in Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"60\" data-end=\"374\">Yesterday, our faculty member, <a href=\"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/en\/specialists\/petrakovskyj-volodymyr-volodymyrovych\/\">Volodymyr Petrakovskyi<\/a>, together with Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanlawinstitute.eu\/about-eli\/bodies\/council\/council-members\/lorena-bachmaier-winter\/\">Lorena Bachmaier Winter<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucm.es\/english\">Complutense University of Madrid<\/a>, presented an expert analysis of the disciplinary practices of the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors (QDCP) for 2023 to its newly appointed members.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"60\" data-end=\"374\">As Council of Europe consultants, they discussed with QDCP members how to effectively utilize the experience gained by the previous commission: which practices should be reinforced and which aspects still require improvement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"60\" data-end=\"374\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9463\" src=\"http:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/petra2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"492\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"608\" data-end=\"846\"><strong data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"644\">Key findings of the analysis:<\/strong><br data-start=\"644\" data-end=\"647\" \/>The QDCP is gradually aligning its activities with European standards. The commission\u2019s practices are becoming increasingly consistent and predictable, although some aspects still need enhancement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"848\" data-end=\"1174\">The QDCP, together with the Council of Prosecutors, is one of the key self-governing bodies of Ukraine\u2019s prosecution system, established in accordance with European standards.
