Kyiv-Mohyla Law and Politics Journal<\/a> (KMLPJ) is now indexed in Scopus \u2014 one of the world\u2019s largest and most reputable bibliographic databases. This is a significant achievement that highlights the journal\u2019s high quality and influence within the academic community.<\/p>\n

KMLPJ is an international, interdisciplinary, and peer-reviewed online journal covering a wide range of topics in law and politics. The journal focuses on jurisprudence, constitutional and international law, political theory, methodology, and European studies. It is published in collaboration with the Ukrainian Association for European Studies.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the journal has been supported by various sponsors and benefactors, including Baker McKenzie\u2019s Kyiv office, the law firm “Ante,” the University of Glasgow, Mr. Serhii Petukhov, Mr. Volodymyr Lytvyn, Ms. Zoia Lytvyn, Mr. Ihor Kohut, Ms. Antonina Cherevko, the family of our graduates Serhiy Segeda and Viktoriya Humenyuk, and many others. Thanks to their support, KMLPJ authors and readers can access high-quality academic publications free of charge.<\/p>\n

What is Scopus, and why does it matter?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Scopus<\/a> is a global bibliographic and abstract database that indexes scientific journals, conference proceedings, and book series. Owned by Elsevier<\/a>, it is one of the most authoritative platforms for evaluating the impact of academic publications.<\/p>\n

The inclusion of a journal in Scopus is a rigorous process requiring adherence to high standards of academic integrity, editorial transparency, peer review quality, and publication impact. Scopus experts assess journals based on criteria such as publication regularity, citation rates, the international representation of authors and editorial board members, and the scholarly significance of published works. During the evaluation process, the Scopus committee particularly noted KMLPJ\u2019s high citation rate and its clear and consistent focus on key research topics.<\/p>\n

KMLPJ is now the third NaUKMA journal indexed in Scopus, following the inclusion of Kyiv-Mohyla Humanities Journal<\/a> (2019) and Language: Classical \u2013 Modern \u2013 Postmodern<\/a> (2024).<\/p>\n

Accepting articles for the next issue<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Kyiv-Mohyla Law and Politics Journal is now accepting submissions for Issue No. 11 (2025). We invite researchers to submit their work. KMLPJ is free to publish in, yet upholds an exceptionally rigorous peer-review process to ensure a high academic standard for all published research.<\/p>\n
