{"id":14861,"date":"2026-11-03T18:21:56","date_gmt":"2026-11-03T14:21:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/naukma-ta-universytet-genta-zapochatkovuyut-spivpratsyu-u-spilnomu-kerivnytstvi-aspirantskymy-doslidzhennyamy\/"},"modified":"2026-11-05T15:38:33","modified_gmt":"2026-11-05T11:38:33","slug":"naukma-ta-universytet-genta-zapochatkovuyut-spivpratsyu-u-spilnomu-kerivnytstvi-aspirantskymy-doslidzhennyamy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/en\/naukma-ta-universytet-genta-zapochatkovuyut-spivpratsyu-u-spilnomu-kerivnytstvi-aspirantskymy-doslidzhennyamy\/","title":{"rendered":"New Prospects for Academic Cooperation Between the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Faculty of Law and Ghent University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New prospects for cooperation between the Faculty of Law of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Ghent University (Belgium) in the field of international and European law.<\/p>\n<p>An international conference was held in Ghent in memory of Professor Marc Maresceau, one of the pioneers of EU external relations law.<\/p>\n<p>The conference brought together Professor Maresceau\u2019s colleagues and former students, leading scholars of EU law, representatives of EU institutions, and the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Roman Petrov, Professor at the Department of International and European Law at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Faculty of Law, delivered a presentation on the impact of the war on Ukraine\u2019s EU accession process.<\/p>\n<p>The conference also provided an opportunity to reach an agreement on launching a pilot initiative for joint supervision of doctoral research in the field of EU external relations law.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative will involve Professor Peter Van Elsuwege of Ghent University and Professor Roman Petrov of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. The cooperation will take place within the framework of Ghent University\u2019s doctoral programme in International and European Law and Kyiv-Mohyla Academy\u2019s third-cycle educational and research programme in International Law (specialty D9).<\/p>\n<p>This marks another step towards strengthening cooperation between the two universities and creating new opportunities for doctoral researchers in international and European law.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14718\" src=\"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/petrov2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New prospects for cooperation between the Faculty of Law of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Ghent University (Belgium) in the field of international and European law.
