{"id":14181,"date":"2024-01-16T11:39:19","date_gmt":"2024-01-16T07:39:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/rosijski-mizhnarodni-zlochyny-v-ukrayini-ta-yih-kvalifikatsiya\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T16:32:30","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T12:32:30","slug":"rosijski-mizhnarodni-zlochyny-v-ukrayini-ta-yih-kvalifikatsiya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/en\/rosijski-mizhnarodni-zlochyny-v-ukrayini-ta-yih-kvalifikatsiya\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia\u2019s International Crimes in Ukraine and Their Legal Classification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"220\">On 27 January 2023, as part of the NaUKMA Research Days, the Centre for Genocide and Human Rights Studies at NaUKMA organised a panel discussion on Russia\u2019s international crimes in Ukraine and their legal classification.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"222\" data-end=\"536\">NaUKMA Associate Professors Dmytro Koval and Hayane Nuridzhanian, as well as PhD student Maksym Vishchyk, delivered expert presentations on the crime of genocide, certain war crimes, crimes against humanity, Russian attacks on Ukraine\u2019s critical infrastructure, and crimes affecting property and natural resources.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"936\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The participants discussed the legal classification of these crimes and accountability for their commission.
