{"id":12893,"date":"2026-02-09T08:47:19","date_gmt":"2026-02-09T04:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/komanda-fakultetu-vzyala-uchast-u-21-h-zmagannyah-icc-z-mediatsiyi\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T09:54:32","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T05:54:32","slug":"komanda-fakultetu-vzyala-uchast-u-21-h-zmagannyah-icc-z-mediatsiyi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/en\/komanda-fakultetu-vzyala-uchast-u-21-h-zmagannyah-icc-z-mediatsiyi\/","title":{"rendered":"The Faculty Team Participated in the 21st ICC Mediation Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In early February 2026, a joint team of the Faculty of Law at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Ukrainian Catholic University \u2014 Dariia Zaborovets, Maksym Baryshov, Veronika Nazarko, and Petro Boichuk \u2014 under the guidance of coach <a href=\"https:\/\/law.ukma.edu.ua\/en\/specialists\/protsenko-diana-vasylivna\/\">Protsenko Diana<\/a>, represented Ukraine at the 21st ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition in Paris, organized by the International Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n<p>This is the ICC\u2019s largest annual educational event in the field of mediation \u2014 and its scale is truly impressive:<br \/>\n58 outstanding teams from leading law schools worldwide \u2014 from the United States and Singapore to Germany and India;<br \/>\n350+ students and coaches;<br \/>\n130+ world-class professionals serving as judges and mediators.<\/p>\n<p>During the competition, the team completed three intensive rounds:<br \/>\n\u2014 against Royal Institute of Colombo (Sri Lanka);<br \/>\n\u2014 against National Law School of India University (India);<br \/>\n\u2014 against Bucerius Law School (Germany).<\/p>\n<p>Competitions of this level are not only about scores or rankings. They are about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>practical skills \u2014 resolving real commercial disputes through interests rather than pressure or manipulation;<\/li>\n<li>cross-cultural competence \u2014 understanding negotiation styles and business mindsets across jurisdictions;<\/li>\n<li>Ukrainian legal diplomacy \u2014 as every team performance reminds the international community of Ukraine\u2019s professional strength, intellectual capacity, and resilience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Participation in a competition of this calibre became possible thanks to the support of the National Association of Mediators of Ukraine and alumni \u2014 former competition participants.<\/p>\n<p>We extend our special and sincere gratitude to the Deutsche Stiftung f\u00fcr internationale rechtliche Zusammenarbeit e.V. (IRZ) for its trust in Ukrainian students and support of this journey.
